This notice explains how Flarepoint Technologies Ltd ("Flarepoint", "we") handles personal data as a data controller. Flarepoint Technologies Ltd is registered in England & Wales (company number 17055624), registered office 37 Lombard Street, London EC3V 9BQ. Contact: contact@flarepoint.io.
What we process, and why
- Website analytics (legitimate interest). On our public pages we use Google Analytics to understand site usage, and Microsoft Clarity, which records session replays and heatmaps of those pages so we can see where the site is confusing. Both process IP addresses and usage events. Neither runs on the client portal, so nothing you view or download there is recorded by them. To opt out, use your browser's tracking protection or email us at the address below.
- Enquiries (legitimate interest / pre-contract steps). If you contact us, we process the details you provide in order to respond.
- Client portal accounts (contract / legitimate interest). If we give you access to our client portal, we process your email address, authentication data, and access records (sign-ins, views, downloads) to operate and secure your account.
Cookies
Our public pages set analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. The client portal sets only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure — no analytics, session-recording or advertising cookies are set there. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time; the site works either way.
Recipients and transfers
We use vetted service providers for hosting, database and authentication, analytics, email delivery, and scheduling, each under a data-processing agreement. Where a provider is outside the UK/EEA, the transfer is safeguarded by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it. Portal account and access records are kept for the duration of your access and a limited period afterwards for security and legal record-keeping.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing; where we rely on consent you may withdraw it at any time. Email contact@flarepoint.io. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security & changes
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls. We may update this notice; the date above reflects the current version.
